In business since 1987, All Sport Insurance Marketing Ltd. is an incorporated Managing General Agent (MGA) specializing in providing insurance to Canadians for sport, leisure and recreation activities.
History
During the mid-1980's liability insurance markets experienced a major crisis resulting in substantial price increases, reduction in coverage and unavailability of coverage at any price for some activities.
At the same time, directors, coaches and referees of sport organizations became aware that they could be sued for their volunteer activities. In order to maintain the support of these volunteers, the sport organizations had to provide liability insurance to protect their members. Recognizing a business opportunity, All Sport was formed and became a national pioneer in this niche market.
Associate company, SBC Insurance Services Ltd., was formed first to meet the sport insurance needs of British Columbians. Soon it was identified that this type of coverage was absent nationally, and All Sport was launched to distribute our products through licensed Canadian insurance brokers.
Today, All Sport is the largest insurer of non-profit sports associations in Canada.
